Ladies Golf Competitions - Par Ladder Rules

THE ALG PAR LADDER RULES

Overview
Open to lady golfers with handicaps of 20.5 - 36.

The competition will run for six months at a time with overall prizes as well as monthly prizes.

There will also be surprise prizes, so even if you don't get many pars it is still worth submitting your cards.

Points awarded for each par will be 10% of the player's exact handicap on the day multiplied by the value of the hole.

Holes are allocated values based on their Stroke Index starting with 1 for SI 18, 1.1 for SI 17 and so on up to 2.7 for SI 1.

For example: a lady with a handicap of 35.2 achieving a par on a stroke index 10 hole will be given 3.52x1.8=6.34 points for her par on that hole.

A lady with a handicap of 20.8 would be given 2.08x1.8=3.74 points for a par on the same hole.

Competitors
Competitors must have a current handicap of not less than 20.5 issued by a CONGU affiliated golf club.
Players under 18 will need a parent's/guardian's consent to enter.
Entering the competition
Entry forms can be filled in online or over the phone.
Entries can be made at any time up to two weeks before the end of the six month period for that particular competition.
Eligible cards
Pars from any round, other than when temporary tees and/or holes are in use, qualify for the Par Ladder
Cards must be properly completed and signed by player and marker and should be made available to the organisers if required.
Up to three cards per month can be entered.
Submitting scores
Online at amateurladygolfer.co.uk or by fax to the organisers
Information required includes date of round, type of round (stableford, medal or other), exact handicap on the day, score card in full
If you haven't "holed out" on a hole, enter a zero as the score for the hole.
Golf is a self-regulating game and the highest principles are expected of players. We will assume that players will respect these principles but reserve the right to randomly check cards and handicaps with the Ladies Section Secretary of a player's club.
Timing
In order to qualify for a monthly prize scores must be submitted within two weeks of the end of that month
All scores must be submitted within three weeks of the end of the six month period in order to qualify for the overall prizes
Handicap changes
Only handicaps of 20.5 or more are eligible to take part - if your handicap drops below this, points accumulated up to that point will count towards prizes but further pars cannot be submitted unless your handicap rises again to above 20.5.
Liability
The Organisers cannot be held responsible for any loss, injury or claim incurred or suffered while participating in an ALG-staged event
Changes to these Rules
The Organisers reserve the right to change the format and rules of this competition due to unforeseen circumstances.
